NADRA Juvenile Card: Application Process September 2024
NADRA Juvenile Card: A Step Up in Child Identity Protection (September 2024)
In Pakistan, the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) (https://www.nadra.gov.pk/) issues a crucial identity document for children under 18: the Juvenile Card. This chip-based card offers a significant advantage over the traditional Child Registration Certificate (CRC), which is simply an A-4 paper document.
Benefits of the NADRA Juvenile Card:
- Enhanced Security: Unlike the CRC, the Juvenile Card is a chip-based document with enhanced security features. This reduces the risk of loss or manipulation, providing better protection for your child’s identity. 1. Juvenile Card – NADRA www.nadra.gov.pk
- Future-Proof Features: The Juvenile Card functions as an “entitled document,” meaning it can be used to access various services in the future, potentially including school enrollment, healthcare programs, and even financial services tailored for young adults.
Applying for a NADRA Juvenile Card:
- In-Person Application: Currently, online applications for Juvenile Cards are unavailable. Parents or guardians must visit any NADRA Registration Center (NRC) within Pakistan.
- Parental/Guardian Presence: A blood relative holding a valid National Identity Card (NIC) must accompany the child during the application process. Their physical presence is required to provide necessary information and biometrics (fingerprints).
Delivery Options and Fees:
NADRA offers three delivery options for the Juvenile Card, catering to different needs and budgets:
- Normal Delivery (31 Days): This is the most cost-effective option, with a processing time of approximately 31 days.
- Urgent Delivery (23 Days): For a faster turnaround time, the urgent delivery option takes about 23 days, with a higher fee. 1. Juvenile Card – NADRA www.nadra.gov.pk
- Fast Track Delivery (9 Days): This is the fastest option, taking only 9 days, and includes priority queuing during processing, but comes with the highest fee.
Fee Structure:
- Normal Delivery Fee: Rs. 750
- Urgent Delivery Fee: Rs. 1,500
- Fast Track Delivery Fee: Rs. 2,500
Choosing the Right Option:
By understanding the delivery options and fees, parents can choose the method that best suits their needs and budget. Whether prioritizing affordability or speed, NADRA offers a flexible application process.
