Identify Fake 1000 Rs Bank Note
Beat the Fakes: Your Guide to Spotting the Genuine Rs 1000 Banknote
Want to protect yourself from counterfeiters? The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has your back with a host of clever security features in the new Rs 1000 note. Follow this step-by-step guide to easily identify the real deal:
Front of the Note:
- Enlarged Watermark: Look for Quaid-e-Azam in Sherwani on the left.
- Electrotype Watermark: Find the number “1000” below Quaid-e-Azam.
- Window Security Thread: Check for the embedded thread with “1000” running down from the left.
- Optical Variable Ink (OVI): See the crescent and star on the right change color from magenta to green when tilted.
- See-through Feature: Hold the note to the light for the value figure appearing on both sides.
- Anti-Scan & Anti-Copy Measures: Look for special line patterns that fool scanners and copiers.
- Latent Image: Tilt the note to see the number “1000” hidden right of Quaid-e-Azam.
- Year of Production: Find the year printed on the right side.
- Identification Mark for Visually Impaired: Two raised circles on the left help identify the denomination.
- Intaglio Lines and Geometrical Patterns: Feel the raised lines and patterns on the edges.
- Micro Lettering: See the tiny “1000” near Quaid-e-Azam and the security thread.
- Serial Number and Signature: Verify the 7-digit serial number with a prefix on the top right and another number below the watermark on the left bottom. Both are magnetic. Check the Governor’s signature (Yaseen Anwar).
Back of the Note:
- Vignette: Look for the image of Islamia College, Peshawar, with its name.
- Insignia: Find the State Bank of Pakistan seal on the left bottom.
- Additional Security Features: The anti-scan and anti-copy patterns are also present on the back.
Remember: Stay vigilant, follow these steps, and you’ll always be a step ahead of counterfeiters!
