Private Hajj Booking in Pakistan Opens Now: Apply Before February 25, 2024.
In a highly anticipated announcement, private Haj organizers in Pakistan are gearing up to open bookings for Hajj 2024.
Led by PM’s aide on Religious Affairs, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, this was revealed during a significant press conference alongside esteemed officials from the Hajj Organizers Association of Pakistan (HOAP).
Starting Friday, both local and international pilgrims can secure their slots for this sacred journey until February 25. Moreover, there’s a possibility of extending the application deadline by an additional month, as hinted by Ashrafi.
With a quota of 89,604 pilgrims, including 50% allocation for the Sponsorship Hajj Scheme, the stage is set for a profound journey of faith.
Ashrafi emphasized facilitating Pakistani overseas pilgrims in remitting their funds seamlessly through local financial institutions, proposing the use of International Bank Account Numbers (IBAN) for transfers into private Hajj organizers’ accounts in Saudi Arabia.
Recognizing the importance of support, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, in collaboration with HOAP, has established a dedicated helpline to provide round-the-clock assistance to pilgrims.
Gratitude is extended to both the Pakistani and Saudi Arabian governments for their proactive preparations, ensuring top-notch facilities for pilgrim comfort.
In a strategic move, each Haj organizer will now oversee smaller groups of 500 pilgrims, deviating from the previous 2,000-pilgrim norm.
This shift promises a more personalized and attentive experience while preserving employment opportunities for organizers, showcasing a fruitful government-private sector partnership.
Additionally, HOAP has implemented a robust self-accountability mechanism within private Haj organizers, pledging swift resolution of grievances and strict penalties for misconduct, prioritizing pilgrim welfare above all.
Meanwhile, HOAP Chairman Jamal Khan Tarakai unveiled plans for a comprehensive nationwide training program for pilgrims. This initiative aims to equip intending pilgrims with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform religious rites comfortably upon arrival in the Kingdom, fostering a spiritually enriching journey for all.
