Pakistan’s military might receive a boost today with the successful flight test of its Fatah-II weapon system.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced the test, highlighting the system’s cutting-edge technology: state-of-the-art avionics, a precise navigation system, and a unique flight path.

The test was witnessed by high-ranking officials from all three branches of the armed forces, along with the dedicated scientists and engineers who made it possible.
Celebrations followed the successful launch, with President Dr. Arif Alvi, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar, and top military leaders congratulating the team behind the Fatah-II.
This test marks a significant advancement in Pakistan’s defense capabilities. A similar test was conducted in October 2023.

In a move that raised eyebrows across South Asia, Pakistan previously test-fired its Ababeel missile in October 2023. This marked the first time in the region that a missile with potential MIRV (Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle) capability entered the testing phase.
However, the Ababeel remains under development, indicating that it might not be operational yet. This was Pakistan’s first publicly acknowledged missile test since April 2022 and the first since the new Chief of Army Staff, General Asim Munir, took office in November 2022.
