11th UBL Literature and Arts Awards: Celebrating Pakistani Literary Excellence

The 11th UBL Literature and Arts Awards took place in Karachi at a prestigious five-star hotel, drawing a large and diverse crowd of writers, literary and media personalities, socialites, and celebrities.

A Wide Array of Talents Recognized

The awards received hundreds of nominations from across Pakistan, with the competition open to all Pakistani authors who published original works in 2021 and 2022. An esteemed panel of judges meticulously shortlisted the entries. The jury for Urdu categories included Dr. Asghar Nadeem Syed, Dr. Arfa Syeda, Dr. Anwaar Ahmed, Ms. Kishwar Naheed, and Dr. Nasir Abbas Nayyar. For the English categories, the jury comprised Dr. Naazir Mahmood, Dr. Aroosa Kanwal, and Mr. Harris Khalique.

  • Online Literature: Nayyar Mustafa for ‘Rangon Main Sochnay Wali Larki’
  • Song Lyrics: Sabir Zafar
  • Drama Script: Hashim Nadeem for ‘Parizaad’

Lifetime Achievement Award

The prestigious ‘Lifetime Achievement’ award was presented to the exemplary Ms. Zaheda Hina, celebrating her extensive and distinguished career.

The event featured light entertainment and concluded with a lavish dinner for all participants. It was gracefully hosted by well-known celebrities Mr. Sajjad Hasan and Ms. Faiza Gillani.
