KP Govt Launches Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme 2025
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has launched the Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme, a revolutionary plan that is to offer interest-free loans up to Rs 1.5 million to the low-income families for constructing, renovating, or expanding houses.

Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme Details
This plan is to cater to the housing needs of the underprivileged communities by offering affordable and quality housing solutions.
Important Information of the Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme includes:
- Loan Amount: up to Rs 1.5 million.
- Allocation: Rs 4 billion was allocated to the scheme.
- Repayment Plan: The repayments are done through easy installments spread over seven years, with a maximum of Rs 18,000 every month.
- Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must own land to qualify.
Partnership for Execution
The Housing Department and the Bank of Khyber signed a Memorandum of Understanding to ensure smooth execution. The scheme operates on a revolving fund system and is expected to run for seven years.
Launching Ceremony
The launching ceremony was headed by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur in which key cabinet members included Dr. Amjad Ali Khan, Muzammil Aslam, and officers from all departments and the Bank of Khyber were present there.
Chief Minister Gandapur said that speaking to the event, “It is our commitment to work for better housing of low-income strata. The Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme reflects our dedication to raising the living standards of disadvantages communities by providing them dignified housing options.”
He further added that “Naya Pakistan Housing Program”.
The Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme is a supplement to the overall Naya Pakistan Housing Program in KP. In October, the provincial government unveiled a low-cost housing project for people who earn less than Rs 50,000 a month.
This project spreads over 150 kanals of land and has an estimated cost of Rs 3,300 million. Phase one involves the construction of 120 flats with a total of 1,320 apartments to be developed.

The initiative ensures financial accessibility with its interest-free model and affordable repayment structure. Beneficiaries can use the loans to construct new homes or improve existing ones, significantly enhancing their quality of life.
