Changan Pakistan will debut a new affordable electric hatchback named Lumin at the upcoming Pakistan Auto Show 2024. Budget-friendly, because Changan had unveiled its premium EV sub-brand called Deepal some time back.
Lumin Electric Car Coming to Pakistan Auto Show 2024
The front-wheel drive 3-door electric hatchback has permanent magnet motor with two battery capacities: 13 kWh and 18 kWh, providing for 155 km and 210 km, respectively.
Output 41 hp with a maximum speed of 100 km/h.
The compact Lumin was first launched in China in June 2022 and is designed to be city-friendly, measuring at 3270 mm by length, 1700 mm by width, and 1545 mm in height.
Its arrival is definitely a major development for the affordable electric vehicles of Pakistan.

The Changan Lumin will join a range of other accessible electrical models already available in the market, such as Dewan Motors’ Honri Ve. So with this model, Changan promises to expand options for eco-friendly buyers and accelerate growth in Pakistan’s EV segment.

It has been mentioned that the Chinese carmaker launched “Lumin” in the international market way back in April 2022.
Changan Pakistan has not announced details translating features and specification of its car coming in the town soon. However, here are international specs of the mini-EV.

Engine and Performance
The Lumin was available in two different versions of LFP battery: 12.92 kWh and 17.65 kWh. Those have a range of 155 km and 210 km, respectively.
Later on, it had another version of 27.99 kWh, which gives a range of 301 km.
The Lumin comes powered by a sole electric motor developing 30 kW (41 hp); however, it will also be offered with a more potent motor version of 35 kW (48 hp).
Of course, when these power numbers sound a bit low, they actually prove pretty close to an ideal range for an urban car and do a really good punchy as well as frugal drive.

The Lumin Corn boasts an attractively curvaceous body line.
The circular LED lights at the door handles as well as aerodynamic wheel covers add a touch to the sleekness and style of the automobile. Its dimensions are 3270/1700/1545mm wheelbase: 1980mm so it can easily maneuver through congested areas.

ChanganWhen folded down, a 104-liter cargo capacity is available in the Lumin Corn’s trunk for baggage or groceries that have to be stored.
The steering wheel is sporty and gives a flat bottom, so there will be comfortable hold to the wheel. Behind the steering wheel lies a small instrument panel that displays important information like speed, battery charge, range, and energy consumption rate.
