Bridging the Gap Between Education and Industry

While inaugurating the program at Islamabad Model College for Girls, F-7/4, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui highlighted the importance of the program.

He believed such centers would “empower the youth of Pakistan with resources to thrive in the digital world.”

Equipping young people with what they need in terms of tools and space, the initiative aspires to fill the gap between traditional education and the demands thrown up by the digital economy.

A Transformative Opportunity for Young Professionals

Not that the potential of such technology parks has gone unnoticed by other important personalities either.

One such is Member of Parliament Abdul Aleem Khan, who, being the chief guest, emphasized just how transformational the program was.

He said that these centers, with their “modern facilities,” set the stage for a solid digital economy in Islamabad, besides providing the necessary platform from which young professionals can launch their careers.

Beyond Bricks and Mortar: A Space for Innovation and Growth

Secretary, MoFEPT, Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani echoed these sentiments when he said this is the “strong forward movement toward bringing about a vibrant tech ecosystem.”

More than that, however, was when he said, “The five IT parks set up at model colleges were way more than workspaces; a community, a platform for growth, collaboration, and innovation among the young minds.”

Five Locations Across Islamabad

The first round of the e-Rozgaar Centers initiative launched five strategically located centers across model colleges in Islamabad.

These are at:

  • Islamabad College for Boys, G-6/3
  • Islamabad College for Girls, F-6/2
  • Islamabad Model College for Girls (PG), F-7/4
  • Islamabad Model College for Boys, F-8/4
  • Islamabad Model College for Boys, F-10/4

Modern Facilities for Freelancers and Startups

In a record period of just three months, it transformed the hall into state-of-the-art collaboration havens.

Each e-Rozgaar Center now boasts air conditioning, high-speed internet, free electricity, and fully furnished meeting rooms; all one needs to establish an environment in which freelancers, startups, and young entrepreneurs can blossom.

Spaces that Inspire Work

And the emphasis on community and collaboration extends much beyond the facilities. “We believe a workspace should inspire creativity, foster collaboration, and build a sense of community,” said Principal Prof. Sabah Faisal.

That is reflected in the bright wall murals, dynamic spaces within the centers that are meant to help spark innovation and build interactions among the young minds coming through the centers.

Registration Now Open: Join the e-Rozgaar Community

With the registration of free coworking spaces now open, young freelancers and entrepreneurs of Islamabad get an excellent opportunity to secure their spot in the state-of-the-art facilities.

The launch of e-Rozgaar Centers paves a way forward for Islamabad’s digital ecosystem in no small measure.

If this can empower young professionals to become employers and create an overall culture of innovation, it could prove to be a serious competitor in the global tech sphere.
