OGRA Decision: Govt keeps petrol price not changed
According to a notification by the finance ministry, “The Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has worked out the consumer prices of petroleum products, based on the price variations in the international market.”
It added the prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight beginning with 16th October 2024.
It, in fact, adjusts the prices and with that adjustment petrol now stands at Rs247.03 per litre while the cost for high-speed diesel is Rs251.29 per litre.
It is ironic that just a month ago, on September 30, the government had reduced fuel prices. Petrol had been reduced by Rs2.7, high-speed diesel by Rs3.40, and light-speed diesel by R1.3 per litre.
