Yamaha to Halogen Headlight as Safety Feature
The Yamaha YBR 125, which entered the market in 2016, was an innovative 2-wheeler back in the market.
Halogen Lamp as a New Safety Feature
Everybody thought that this brand would introduce something new to the table and most probably bring new updates, new options, and new upgrades with time, unlike Atlas, which makes crap 1980s motorcycles.

But Yamaha had other plans. Lots of us waited for 2017,18,19,20 and it’s 2024. But Yamaha never even made a single new update or upgrade to their lineup.
They still are living at that 2016 YBR.
Spoiler alert: It’s not what you think!
Yamaha’s New ‘Safety Features’
“If you ever feel useless, remember there’s someone in Yamaha’s social media department who is creating these Instagram posts.”.
Yamaha just posted some safety features on their Instagram page, showing three primary safety features of the Yamaha YBR 125. Now, you might wonder why these basic 1960s things are safety features. Well, you’re wrong.
Yamaha thinks from another dimension that we can’t access. Let us just explain to you how these basic features are safety features:
Halogen Headlight – Yamaha to Halogen Headlight as Safety Feature
Halogen lights are not that bright compared to LED projectors. The particular OEM lights used in the stock of YBR are extremely dull, so even side indicators have more brightness than their headlights.
This is a safety feature. How?
49% of road accidents happen at night. If you have poor headlight visibility, you shall refrain from unnecessary riding at night and, therefore, decrease chances of involvement in a road accident.
While you can replace the stock headlight with a third-party LED light, we do not suggest you do so. Let the stock headlight stay and retain this “safety feature engaged.”
Ground Clearance – Yamaha to Halogen Headlight as Safety Feature
Yamaha 125 has ground clearance, at least for some reason, as a safety feature. Suzuki GS150 has better ground clearance of 155 mm, but Suzuki never said that it is a safety feature and we cannot understand how a good ground clearance is a safety feature or how it can protect you in case of an accident.
If having a high ground clearance is considered a safety feature, then the Suzuki Alto is as safe as a Mercedes. Now we are sure that there is at least one person in Yamaha’s social media department who got this brilliant idea. .
Disc Brakes
The only logical safety feature you can see in this 125cc bike is that now. But if they are charging a whopping 4.85 lacs for a 125cc, it is no surprise to see the front disc brake at that price because the rear brakes too were drum brakes like CD70.
It seems that Yamaha’s social media team doesn’t really have their guts about motorcycles, so they just make some irrelevant bluff posts to post something on Instagram. Such types of insta posts, from the side, make little sense.
