World Anti-Doping Agency Puts Pakistan on Watch List

News coming out of the Pakistani Athletics scene suggest that WADA has put the National Anti-Doping Organization of Pakistan (NADO) on its “watch list” for non-compliance with the International Standard for Code Compliance.

WADA’s Anti-Doping Code: World Anti-Doping Agency Puts Pakistan on Watch List

The World Anti-Doping Code, also known as the Code, harmonizes anti-doping policies, rules, and regulations through sports organizations and public organizations.

The Code collaborates with eight International Standards overseen by WADA through acceptance, implementation, and compliance.

In short words, it is the latest guiding SOPs, introduced in 2021 that all associated bodies are requested to follow.

WADA has given Pakistan four months to resolve these pending issues. If NADO fails to correct these mistakes within the stipulated time frame, the governing body may impose disciplinary action against NADO.

Possible Disciplinary Action:

If Pakistan is not able to rectify the issues in question by this due time, Pakistan athletes would not be permitted in all of the authorized events like the Olympics and every associated games.

At times, local people get less or minute chances and thus, NADO can not act too relaxed regarding correction in direction.

It’s in the court of law North Korea, El Salvador, Guinea-Bissau, Haiti, Sierra Leone, the Virgin Islands (U.S.), and Brazil, to mention a few. So much for Pakistan to take that as a warning from their day in court.
