Details of the Punjab Motorcycle Scheme

Under the Chief Minister Youth Initiative, the government will provide 19,000 petrol bikes and 1,000 e-bikes through the Bank of Punjab under an interest-free installment plan.

The provincial government has allocated a subsidy of Rs 1 billion for these interest-free bikes, making this scheme accessible to a broad range of students.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Students of degree colleges and universities are eligible to apply for the interest-free motorcycles.

Initial Phase:

  • In Phase 1, regular students from Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, and Lahore will receive motorcycles.

Application and Selection Process

The government received a total of 72,640 applications for the scheme. Of these, 57,366 students applied for petrol motorcycles, while 15,274 submitted applications for e-bikes. This overwhelming response highlights the students’ keen interest and need for such initiatives.
