PAAPAM Hosting 19th Edition of PAPS-24 Under “Industrial Pakistan” Theme

Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts & Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM) is going to host the country’s leading automotive exhibition, the 19th Pakistan Auto Parts Show, on 25th – 27th October, 2024, at Expo Centre Lahore.

Venue: PAAPAM Hosting 19th Edition of PAPS-24

  • This event will be spread over the entire three halls of the Expo Centre, thus epitomizing the strength and variety of more than 3,000 large, medium, and small industries across Pakistan.
  • The theme is “Industrial Pakistan” since PAAPAM also believes in the promotion of Pakistan as an industrial society and looks into the nation’s industrial capabilities for economic growth through innovation and collaboration.
  • PAPS-24 will be an event to remember, drawing well over 300,000 visitors with 50 international exhibitors, 53 PAAPAM members, approximately 65 local exhibitors, and 12 sponsors.

  • The event is graced by key sponsors, which include Diamond Sponsors Toyota, Changan, and Suzuki; Platinum Sponsors Hyundai, LMC, Sazgar, MG, and BYD; and Gold Sponsors Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited, Atlas Honda Limited, New Asia, and BearMAX.
  • This exhibition primarily focused on PAAPAM’s Auto Village, an exposition said to attract international buyers from key markets such as the USA and Europe.
  • Therefore, PAAPAM is now trying to push the export of quality automotive parts manufactured in Pakistan.

Wide range of categories in the automobile sector: PAAPAM Hosting 19th Edition of PAPS-24

PAPS-24 will feature a wide range of categories in the automobile sector such as passenger cars, buses, tractors, rickshaws, motorcycles, auto parts manufacturers, service providers, machinery makers, tool-makers, and also to essential services like accessories, tracking, and insurance.

The exhibition is open to public view from 10 AM to 7 PM every day, which can prove to be an appropriate opportunity for seeing cutting-edge inventions and developments in the automobile sector.

Car sales Inched Up by 18% Last Month: PAMA

Again, this month, we come up with details revealing what local car assemblers has earned last month in terms of sales. And it’s not the first time; we bring the same report in the mid of every month.

After witnessing a nominal jump of 1% in August 2024, car sales chart has witnessed an escalation of 18% last month. According to the report of Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), car makers sold 10,297 units this September compared to 8,699 vehicles of August 2024.

Meanwhile, year-on-year (YoY) sales grew by 24%. Automaker can sell as many as 10,297 cars locally produced last month. Compared to the same month last year, only 8,312 vehicles were sold.

Two & Three wheelers

  • Showcasing motorcycle and three-wheeler sales, the domestic bike manufacturers reported a growth of 26% last month. It stood at 130,960 bikes last month compared with 104,234 units in Aug’24. In relation to year-on-year sales, it witnessed a jump of 22%, selling 130,960 units in September 2024 against 107,084 vehicles in corresponding period of last year.
  • Atlas Honda recorded a growth of 22% last month, selling 110,139 units compared with 90,483 units in August of 2024. In contrast, Pak Suzuki recorded growth of 8%, selling 2,049 bikes last month as opposed to 1,906 units in August of 2024.
  • Sales of trucks and buses have recorded an increase by 6% as there are sales of 319 units compared to 300 units in August of 2024.

Company-wise Sales Breakdown

  • Sales of Toyota Pakistan have registered an 11% increase, selling 2,367 units last month compared with 2,129 vehicles sold in August 2024.
  • Honda Atlas tells a similar story as the sales increased by 11%, selling 1,269 units last month compared to 1,148 units sold in August 2024.
  • Pak Suzuki Motors Company’s (PSMC) sales registered an increase of 37% with 5,013 vehicles sold in September 2024 against 3,653 cars sold in Aug’2024.
  • And Hyundai Nishat sales posted a 15% growth with the sale of 677 units in September 2024 against 591 units sold in August 2024.
  • Sazgar Engineering (SAZEW) sales dropped by 13% as sales of 827 cars were recorded in September 2024 against sales of 952 units in August 2024.
  • Also, sales figures of Kia Lucky Motors, Master Changan Motors, Regal Motors, MG Motors, and Al-Haj Proton are not consolidated in this analysis as they do not claim membership in PAMA.

Car-Wise Sales Analysis

  • Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company sold 3,146 units of Alto, 59 units of Suzuki Cultus, 182 units of Suzuki Wagon R, 608 units of Suzuki Swift, 615 units of Suzuki Bolan, and 403 units of Suzuki Ravi.
  • Toyota Indus sold 1,883 units of Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla and 484 units of Fortuner and Hilux.
  • Honda Atlas sold 1,143 units of City and Civic, and 126 units of BR-V and HR-V.
  • Hyundai Nishat sold 100 units of Elantra, 58 units of Sonata, 258 units of Porter and 261 units of Tucson.
