India’s Rahul Out of third Test against England Team.

Indian batsman KL Rahul has been sidelined from the third test against England following a failed fitness assessment, as per the Indian Cricket Board (BCCI).

Devdutt Padikkal has been named as his replacement for the match, scheduled to begin on Thursday in Rajkot.

Rahul, boasting a record of 50 tests and eight centuries, missed the second test of the five-match series due to injury.

The BCCI stated that Rahul has attained 90% match fitness and is undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. The board aims for him to be fully fit for the fourth and fifth tests.

This setback follows Indian captain Virat Kohli’s withdrawal from the series due to personal reasons. Additionally, England spinner Jack Leach will be absent for the remainder of the series due to a knee injury.

Replacing Rahul in the squad is Devdutt Padikkal, known for his T20 prowess but has yet to debut in test cricket. The series is currently level at 1-1, adding anticipation to the upcoming match.

The absence of key players like Rahul and Kohli poses challenges for the Indian team, while England’s loss of Leach further complicates their strategy.

Nevertheless, both sides will look to seize the opportunity to gain an advantage in the series.

The Indian cricket team’s depth will be tested as they seek to maintain their momentum in the series. Padikkal’s inclusion provides an opportunity for the young talent to showcase his skills at the highest level.

As the cricketing world awaits the third test with bated breath, fans anticipate an intense battle between India and England for supremacy in the series.

With the stakes high and both teams eager for victory, the Rajkot test promises to be an enthralling contest.
