The new service was declared by the transport and excise minister, Sharjeel Memon, in a press conference recently. The very important meeting was held in the Excise Department, underlining their commitment toward modernizing the working patterns.

How it Works: Home-Based Vehicle Registration

  • Convenience at Your Doorstep: The people can now get themselves rid of the registration of their vehicles at their doorsteps by paying an additional government fee of Rs. 10,000.
  • Biometric Verification: On-site biometric data collection and verification for the sake of security at the hands of the concerned officials.

These initiatives have numerous advantages:

  • Citizens: This enables residents to register their vehicles easily and in a very effective way, without standing in long queues, thus making the process relatively easier.
