Gold investors in Pakistan woke up to a gleaming Tuesday as gold prices surged, mirroring a global upward trend.

After a brief dip on Monday, the precious metal witnessed a significant increase, reaching a record high in the country’s history.
New Peak for Gold:
- The local market saw a dramatic rise of Rs 1,100 per tola, pushing the price to Rs 273,000. This surpasses the previous record high of Rs 272,500 set just days earlier.
- This surge is a stark contrast to Monday’s decline, where the price had settled at Rs 271,900 per tola.
10 Grams of Gold Follows Suit:
- The price of 10 grams of gold also experienced a significant increase, rising by Rs 943. It now sits at Rs 234,053, reflecting the overall market trend.
International Market Influence:
- The rise in Pakistan’s gold price appears to be influenced by positive movement in the global market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the international gold price reached $2,628 per ounce, reflecting an $11 increase on the day. A premium of $20 further inflated the price.
While gold prices climbed, silver remained relatively unchanged. As of Tuesday, the price of silver stands at Rs 2,950 per tola, showing no fluctuation from the previous day.
