Nankana Sahib Becomes a Wi-Fi Hotspot
Nankana Sahib, a city of historical and religious significance, is now equipped with free Wi-Fi at five prominent locations:
- Masjid Chowk
- Tehsil Morr Chowk
- Kutchehry Rail Crossing
- Railway Station
- Additional locations to be announced
The service has already witnessed significant usage, with over 25,000 users consuming 250GB of data since its launch.
Expanding the Initiative
The Punjab government has ambitious plans to expand the free Wi-Fi initiative to 250 more locations within Lahore and introduce the service in major cities like Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed satisfaction with the positive response to the free Wi-Fi initiative in Lahore, which has benefited over five million people. She emphasized the service’s importance for women and students, especially in emergency situations.
