After Deepal and BYD launches, the company Hyundai Nishat Motors is apparently keen to bring the 7th generation of Elantra to Pakistan.

It is a trend; when a new generation of the models is introduced worldwide, Pakistan gets it 4-5 years later, after the rest of the world has moved on.
And this time, we predict the same with the 7th generation Elantra, which was introduced internationally in 2020.
And now, after 4 years, we are getting signs of it launching in Pakistan. But there is a twist, we believe that the hybrid one is coming soon to Pakistan and the reason?

7th-gen Hyundai Elantra captured in Pakistan’s Baluchistan region on August 6th, 2024. Till that date, Hyundai Nishat Motors never confirmed the rumor; it was just some unofficial leaks and snaps surfing the internet. Leaks claimed that we will see the 7th generation Elantra and the reports claim that this might be a hybrid variant.

Hyundai Nishat Motors just yesterday shared a story on its official Instagram page. Posting an image of steering wheel as teaser, it was reportedly 100% the steering wheel of 7th-gen Hyundai Elantra. And according to our experts, this could be the hybrid Elantra.

Before this story, Hyundai posted some videos hinting at introducing something new, and we can guess it was about the 7th-gen Elantra hybrid.

Possible Trim of Elantra Hybrid?
So far, our guess is that they will launch the new Elantra in Hybrid 1.6-liter.

The hybrid variant is confirmed so far and internationally, Elantra comes in two NA variants, which are 1.6 and 2.0, but in Pakistan, Hyundai will reportedly launch the 1.6L hybrid as 1.6L petrol was already in the local market and reportedly the hybrid one will replace the petrol trim.
Expected Launch: Hyndai Elantra Hybrid in Pakistan?
Hyundai Elantra hybrid launch date, as well as its localization point, still hasn’t been officially confirmed.
Yet, we do think that for the very first time they might present it at PAPS 2024, which is scheduled for October 25-27 in Lahore. So, expect it on Pakistani market by summer of 2025.
