The security forces foiled an attempted suicide attack on the FC headquarters in Mohmand. According to ISPR, four attackers identified as “Khawarij” entered at about 4:00 AM on Friday morning and tried to enter the Civil Administration Colony.

The terrorists have tried to storm into the headquarters from a pre-dawn raid, but were intercepted by vigilant security personnel much before they could reach their target. In quick and precise response, all four terrorists were neutralized on the spot. The security forces then launched a comprehensive combing operation to ensure that no more threats existed in the vicinity.

Included among those arrested are six high-value targets apprehended in Lahore, one of whom was a high-ranking member of the banned Al-Qaeda. The police recovered explosives, weapons, hand grenades, materials for suicide vests, and a large amount of money for terrorist financing. These arrested ones were said to be planning major attacks across the region.

Cases have been registered against the suspects by the CTD, and they have directed further efforts to unravel their network. More arrests are expected shortly as the investigation is ongoing, with the authorities working on eliminating the remaining terrorist cells that may exist in the area.
